The final report card for Vandalia Junior High School students is accessible to you through your Teacherease account. Report cards will not be mailed. The work that your child completed during remote learning is reflected in their 3rd quarter grade. Your student could have earned a range of 0-10 percentage points added to their 3rd quarter percentages based on the amount of work they successfully completed. Percentage points were assigned as follows: 100% of work completed received 10 percentage points; 90% work completed = 9% increase; 80% work completed = 8% increase; 70% work completed = 7% increase; 60% work completed = 6% increase; 50% work completed = 5% increase; 40% work completed = 4% increase; 30% work completed = 3% increase; 20% work completed = 2% increase; 10% work completed = 1% increase. No student's grades went down due to remote learning. The 4th quarter grade is simply a "Pass" or a "Fail". Students that completed 60% or more of the teachers assigned work received a "Pass". Students that did not complete 60% of the assigned work received a "Fail". These two 4th quarter designations do not factor into the student's final average for each class. The student's "Final" averages are based on quarters one, two and three. If you have any questions, please contact the junior high via email or at 618-283-5151.

Reminder that all chromebooks and chargers need to be returned to Vandalia Junior High on Thursday, 5/21 between 10am-6pm. Please enter from the North off Veteran's Ave. through the canopy driveway between VJHS and VES. PLEASE FOLLOW these instructions for turning in your Chromebook and Charger: Prior to Drop off, students should place a piece of paper with the following information inside Chromebook: Teacher Name - Grade - Student Last Name 4th-5th Grade: Write Homeroom teacher’s name 6th Grade - Write 1st Hour Teacher’s Name 7th - 8th - Write Study Hall Teacher’s Name Also, Write on the paper any damages or issues that need to be repaired.

The Summer Lunches for Kids program is organized by Northside Christian Church from June 1st - August 7th. Please see attached flyers for distribution and donation information.

Vandalia Junior High Students will return chromebooks, chromebook chargers, completed paper assignments, classroom novels, library books, and any textbooks on Thursday, May 21 between the hours of 10am-6pm. Prior to drop off, students should place a piece of paper with the following information inside chromebook: Teacher Name -Grade - Student Last Name along with any damages that need to be repaired. Parents are to drive through the canopy driveway between VES and VJHS from the north entry off Veteran’s Avenue and exit to Fletcher St. VJHS staff will meet you at your vehicle for the collection of these items.
