Early dismissal Friday, April 19th for a school improvement day. Dismissal times are as follows: VES - 11:30 am; VJHS - 11:30 am 4th grade, walkers/pickups/early bus students; 11:45 am - Grades 5th - 8th; VCHS- 11:45 am. There will be No PreK Classes.

Vandalia High School did well at this years regional Envirothon Competition at Ballard Nature Center on April 9th.
The senior team consisting of Conner McCall, Carson Lotz, Conner Thierry, Kaylee Rosenkoetter, and Kanon Wollermann got first overall and will represent Land Use Council 10 at the state Envirothon Competition in May.Â
The junior team of Carlie Graumenz, Jay Keck, Sophia McNealy, Jayden Rosetto, and Brandon Simmons received a first place in both the Aquatics and 5th Category of Renewable Energy.
Isaac Forbes and Ayden Pryor went as alternates. They are coached by Doug Forbes, science teacher at Vandalia High School.
VCHS School Play this Friday Night!
On April 12th, Vandalia High School will be administering the PSAT to all freshman and sophomores, and the SAT to all Juniors. The freshman and sophomores will be dismissed at normal time. Juniors will be allowed to leave once testing is completed and Seniors will not report to school on this day.

HS softball tomorrow 3/23 at Meridian has been canceled
VCUSD #203 will be dismissing school early on March 27th for Spring Break. Dismissal times are as follows: VES - 2:00 pm walkers/pick-ups/early bus students. PreK am 8 am - 11 am ~ PreK pm 12 pm - 2pm. VJHS - 2:00pm 4th grade walkers/pick-ups/early bus students and 2:15 pm 5th - 8th grade. VHS - 2:15 pm. There will be no school from Thursday, March 28th - Monday, April 1st. School will resume on Tuesday, April 2nd.

The Vandals are taking the field at Busch Stadium on Sunday, April 28th at 4:15 PM! No ticket needed, just come out and cheer on our team!
Help support the team! In order to play at Busch, the team needs to sell tickets to the St. Louis Cardinals game on May 21st. Tickets are $25 - see your favorite player for details! ⚾️

Bella LaMonica, Trinity Taylor, and Kyleigh Roman attended the Youth Advisory Council events last fall at Kaskaskia College and this week at the Capitol Building in Springfield sponsored by Senator Plummer and Mr. Curll.
The YAC provides students a unique opportunity to experience the complexities of governing, it allows them to engage in public policy debates, and reinforces a commitment to civic duty, the importance of public policy, and demonstrates how to be an effective leader.
