Attention Book Blaster families! We have only a few days left! Now is the time to contribute through the invitation from your favorite student. You have until Sunday night to contribute. Thank you to everyone in our community and beyond that have contributed to our Book Blast event! Your support will help students take home as many books as possible, up to 10 each. In our quest to promote literacy and reading.

Congratulations to our final Treasure Chest winner - Benton Hickerson. The Book Blast is going strong as we approach these last few days of the event. It’s not too late to complete your Treasure Map, earn your prizes, and help your child’s teacher earn a shopping spree to purchase books and supplies for the classroom! When 60% of the classroom students register and invite 10+ friends and family members, that teacher will earn a $100 shopping spree. If ALL the classroom students invite 10+ friends and family members, the teacher will earn a $200 shopping spree.

Vandal Pride at VJHS Each Friday we encourage each student to wear Vandal red or a Vandal Gear shirt. Our hope is to help create a sense of school pride within our school. What does this require? Kids that wear their Vandal gear get a Vandal Voucher during their homeroom Students who participate will write their name on a slip of paper & give it to their teacher. A student council member will be around during homeroom or study hall to collect the paper entries, Each quarter a name will be drawn for a chance to win Vandal gear from each grade level.

HEY VJHS - PICTURE DAY TOMORROW! Please DO NOT wear green!

Attention Football Fans, we are excited to kickoff our 1st home football game tomorrow night! Please be reminded of our Spectator Guidelines for High School Football Games: 1. All students who are not in high school must be accompanied by their parent or guardian. If the adult leaves the game, the student under their care must leave as well. 2. Once a student enters, they may not leave and reenter unless they are accompanied by an adult. 3. Elementary, Junior High, and High School students are expected to be seated for the majority of the game. 4. No throwing of any object is permitted. Objects will be confiscated. 5. Skateboards and bikes are not allowed inside of the gates. 6. All school rules apply at any school event. 7. Failure to comply with the above expectations will result in students being removed from the game and/or parent/guardian contact. 8. NO LOITERING in or around the concession stand area, behind the bleachers or restroom areas.
