(VCHS) Boys Golf Sectional 10/13/20
The Vandalia boy's golf team won the class 1A sectional tournament at Franklin County Country Club in West Frankfort on Tuesday, October 13. Vandalia finished as champions by shooting a 310. The defending state champion Breese Mater Dei was second with a 316. Waterloo Gibault finished 3rd with a 320. Chase Laack and Conner McCall finished tied for 8th with a 76. Riley Ruckman finished out the top ten with a 77. Jonah Beesley had an 81. Dylan Halford shot an 85 and Jacob Schaal finished with a 99. Tyson Elko of West Frankfort was the medalist with a 69.

(VCHS) Boys Golf Regional 10/6/20
The Vandalia boy's golf team won the Mt. Olive IHSA Regional held at Timber Lakes Golf Course in Staunton on Tuesday, October 6. Vandalia finished first with a 298. Marquette finished 2nd with a 326. Both teams advance to the West Frankfort sectional which will be Tuesday, October 13.
The individual regional champion was Chase Laack with a 5-under-par 67. Other top five medal winners were Dylan Halford finishing 2nd with a 74 and Conner McCall was 3rd with a 75. Riley Ruckman was 7th with an 82. Jonah Beesley was 11th with an 85. Jacob Schaal finished 21st with a 90. There were a total of 56 golfers that competed in this regional.

The Vandalia boy's golf team defeated Pana and Shelbyville in a triangular golf match at the Vandalia Country Club on Thursday, October 1. Vandalia finished with a 157. Pana was second with a 197 followed by Shelbyville with a 210. Chase Laack was the medalist for the match with a 37. Vandalia's record is now 21-0 on the season.

The Vandalia boy's golf team won the SEC Conference Golf Tournament at Indian Springs Golf Course on Tuesday, September 29. Vandalia finished first with a score of 297. Hillsboro was second with a 339. Vandalia had five golfers win all conference honors by finishing in the top ten. Individual conference champion was Chase Laack with a one-over-par 71. Conner McCall was 2nd with a two-over-par 72. Jacob Schaal was 3rd with a three-over-par 73. Dylan Halford was 6th with an 81. Riley Ruckman finished 10th with an 84. Jonah Beesley finished out the Vandals scoring with an 86.
